Goodwin House Moving works with many different school districts and the schools themselves to help move classrooms around the area. A lot of the jobs done by Goodwin House Moving are for regular families or individuals that just desire a change of scene. Goodwin House Moving has moved building as small as sheds, all the way to loads weighing hundreds of tons!
Although we are equipped to move large structures, we also move a number of smaller homes throughout the year. We've moved a wide range of size and type of house, and every move to us is just as important as the next.
We continue moving houses even during the winter months. We have managed to tackle hills and roads even after it snows. We take advantage of a snow plough, make sure all of the roads are in good enough condition to travel on, and continue as scheduled. Not only have we traveled on snow covered roads, we've even moved structures through fields and over bridges. Almost anywhere you can think of we can move it!
Power lines are usually our biggest obstacle when it comes to a house move. However there have been other occasions where we've ran into unexpected hang ups that need to be dealt with on the spot. We've come across tricky trees and certain traffic lights that have gave us a set back, but as of yet we've never been stopped.

Goodwin House moving made an appearance on the HGTV television show Haulin'
House. We moved this gigantic Victorian style home 20 miles for a family
in the middle of winter, and it was caught on camera for viewers around the
nation.

don't limit ourselves to just moving houses either. Recently we assisted
the Galesburg Railroad Museum in moving a train car. We can move not only
train cars, but also large, heavy machinery and just about anything that you can
think of to move.
